New England Cumfut dugs

It gets friggen cold here in New England kid. Everyone here knows that after a day out in the cold, shoveling snow, and slipping on ice, that sometimes the best thing is to come inside and warm up with some good ole' cumfut food.

Some may be thinking of the classic New England dish involving dugs, beans, and canned brown bread. But I'm gonna save that for another time.

This is a classic dug stew. Now, these are sussies, and I would only recommend using sussies for this meal, the old hut dugs may not work well here. Anyway, before you head out to scrape your windshield and freeze your butt off all day, throw some stuff in the crock pot.

Here we have mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, celery, onions, peppers, and lentils chopped up and tossed in the bottom of the pot. Fill the vegetables with broth, some soy sauce and a bit of Worcestershire sauce then throw a few sussies on top. Let that cook all day on low and when you come home from the cold you'll have a nice sussie stew waiting for you!
